Don't worry. I studied Early Childhood Education when I was in college, and I still feel exactly the same. I appreciate my mom and my wife more and more each day. My mother in law, on the other hand.....

We did some training with my crew yesterday. It was warm enough to try a little climb with her. I hooked her up to my side D for simplicity. Her hardhat is a little big, and I need to warm her up to it. She loved it! It's all she's talked about.

Yes a true climbing helmet is best, but I see no issue with a bike helmet. Use what fits.
