4th annual CT Rec climb

We are looking forward to the 4th annual CT Rec climb this winter 2014. This event will be to days starting out at my place. We will be demonstrating some new tools and techniques that have been in the works plenty of trees!!! Second day will be a woods climb with 100 to 150ft tulip trees in between a ravine. Bring a bag lunch or bring something to cook on the bon fire that we will be building!
I will keep you posted on the exact dates but I think we are going for sometime in January like last year.

150' Tulips, eh? Looks like I'll be using the long arc for the throw line. Stoked to have a HAAS now.

Im gonna try to swing this one and am pretty excited. Eric I have been very close to pulling the trigger on a HAAS and would love a demo. (maybe even a test run?) I'll be traveling down from Sheffield, MA if that is in anyone's travel route and want to carpool.

Kieran, glad you'll be coming down. You're more than welcome to fly the HAAS! Like anything SRT, adjustment is key, but it should work out for you.

See ya Saturday, also looking forward to a woods climb Sunday. I'll have my measuring gear, if there are +150 tulips we might find a Connecticut height champ.

Bringing a prototype Rope Runner for folks to try, and finishing up a few custom wrench tethers to make available.

Will tree camp Saturday night, rain or not. I'll bring two tree boats with rainflys if anyone wants to try it out.

Came down with the Flu Monday and not sure I will be there. Would love to get out, even if it's only to meet everyone, but we'll see.

If I can get there, but not in time to meet before you head for the trees, is there a way to get hold of someone, or at least have directions to the secret climbing location ???

Hey guys looks like the weather will be nice and warm!! We are still on if it rains! so don't be scared off by possible showers. Aj Looking forward to measuring those Tulips! I think they may be smaller than I thought, but you know tulips they do get very tall! Also aj if you have a SD card with some pics from the west coast trips we can check them out on the big screen!
