Re: MEN IN PINK

Roger third Sat. in Jan 2008 would love to have you come down, and Cory made the KY chapter look awsome. I can't remember the other cat's name but he came down with Mike Cross from Tallassee 4 and 1/2 hour ride....

Re: MEN IN PINK

Who said pink isn't a color for men? Who ever it was never saw a single one of these bad a$$ tree guys! My hard hats off to each and every one of them. Especially the mighty Traffic Cone. I think I can honestly speak for Rich when I say that no other Asplundh guy has ever impressed me nearly as much as the OTC! The only man I respect who still uses the tautline hitch! Long may he climb.

Thanks especially to Scotty for putting us up in his house all weekend. I can think of nothing better than "hanging out" for days on end with all of those guys and swapping tree tales.

Re: MEN IN PINK

Here is a shot of the three champs (in my opinion), checking out the work climb.

Traffic Cone, Doug Lafortune, and Scotty.

Hmmmm.... who looks the most calm and collected?

Re: MEN IN PINK

Those sure are some heavy duty wheels on that toting/chair gizmo thingy. Nice.

Re: MEN IN PINK

I'd say its a safe bet that Dale is the only Asplundh guy out there with his own Beach Rolly. And now he's also the proud owner of one of Rich H's Anchor Bridge systems.

Re: MEN IN PINK

Just a quick note of thanx to all who attended. Mrs morningwood and I feel very blessed to be a part of this group. We had a great day! Too many people to list them all, but I must say a big thanx to Scotty and the techs for putting this together. Colin, and Big E you guys were incredible! These 2 worked all day putting 65 kids up into the trees!!!To me, that was one of the most special gifts of the day.
