Doing a litle pre planning on a rec climb i'm hosting, so good preditor will be able to make this climb when he gets back from his trip. I'm thinking early January

8 big trees on private property bonfire and grill at base of trees, bring your choice of food and drink. who ever feels like spending the night feel free to bring sleeping bags or tents,or tree boats to make it a weekend event.

Moss there is serious zip line potentail!

Can we have another 15 degree day?

This sounds very cool and I'd love to join you all again.

I will come but I will not climb. I expect to be hoisted into the tree buy a car or truck, preferably a Prius however I will accept a hybrid Yukon.

Sounds good, looking forward to it!

This could mean winter sleeping in trees, I'll have to make a giant squirrels nest to stay warm!

Sounds like fun except for the 15 degree temps.

yo, banjo...what about a GRCS powered by an electric drill? Would at be eco-friendly enough for ya'?

After seeing moss' wagon, I know there is NOTHING that cannot be brought out into the wood!

Nope, we'll need to bring some really long ropes to reach the road.

Maybe some cable...I don't think there's a road long enough to compensate for all that rope elongation.

Moss' goat would pull you up a tree. How does that suit your fancy?

I am the goat that pulls my cart, so... no chance I'm hoisting anyone up a tree, not in my Goat Cart Haulers International union contract. This sounds awesome Ian, looking forward to it.

I was considering staying in the eastern hemisphere forever, surfing endless beaches all day... personal chef... no winter... but I guess I will have to come back now! Can't wait to see everyone...

I was hoping that the in-tree personal (human) squirrel's nest was a real thing. it needs to be.

Ian, not that it makes *that* much difference, but where in CT we talking? I've got relatives down there, considering a long day and then maybe crashing at there place. You guys did it down Danbury/New Haven area last year, didnt you?

Ian is a little busy these days...

It was in Redding last year, and it will be around the same area this time give or take a town... Fairfield County SW CT... up in here

Jeff, let me know if you want to carpool. Moss was talking about getting a room last year, which makes great sense. It's a couple hours from our area, and with a long climb and a long drive following, it would make sense to stay ther night before, or the night following the climb. I can also imagine a considerable hike involved in getting to the stand.

We're doing xmas in Disney with the kids sometime the middle of January, so I have to see where the dates fall first. Solid 2-2.5 hour drive for me as well, im out of the way for you guys, at least you guys can just jump on 84 off the pike!

I'll be coming down 95 most of the way, then jump north for a bit...that is if it's anywhere near the last climb.

If there's room for a know nothing newbie...I will try to make it, day dependant of course. It's not TOO terribly far away.
