What if the raped trees in concern were in fact ghetto Box elders (Acer negundo)? or some other undesirable? I mean, look at the way Box elders grow, they are just asking to be raped.

I find this line of thought subjective at this point, or is there evidence/proof to support the claim that the Live Oak is of a superior species, and should be afforded special rights and protection?
