You my friend, if I can call you that,if not I'm sure there are lots of other things I can call you, are an essential part of this world.
As far as this thread, I wouldn't have taken the time to post about it. The tree would have been made safe, the guy would have been at the hospital, and I would have been telling you all how I helped the guy out in his time of need.
You WORK for money, you HELP people out of the kindness of your heart, IDEALS are a thing of LUXURY when the lives of others aren't at stake. My opinion.

And yes, people in nj do say y'all, well at least I do, but I do it to mimmick my hero hollenreich. Ed does it because, well, dammit he's ed and that's how he rolls I guess (I actually picked it up when I lived in Virginia)

I thought I helped because it was my nature, I've done it my whole life, but if my new fiancé says it's because of money then he must be right and I guess that's why I do it.

Well in some parts they say ya'll. I personally was born in SC. So some of the slang has stuck, guess it's just bread to the genes of us red necks, heck every once in awhile, told you can still hear the southern draw.

I do have family in Providence RI. R. E. Barry pumps INC, is my uncle.

R.E. Barry Pumps, Craaaanstin, RI!!! Hahahaha! Such a small world. I grew up about 2 miles from there, and I used to use the little road they were on (Fletcher Ave?) as a cut-through to get to Johnston and Providence. In fact, I still do!

I'm with Patrick. The Dad is making yet another poor choice. The tree, like dirty dishes, will be there in the morning. Perhaps better to introduce yourself, offer to help with the emergency now...and the tree removal, later. And best good prayers to the little girl. The tree is not the issue.
 
Here we go again . First off , I hope the young lady gets better . I have an 11 year old daughter and she is a gem . The problem I have with this thread is that someone can run their neighbor down on the internet and not even know the person or really what happened . If you don't know the person living right next to you , why do you got to run him down ? Why would he consult you on the tree when you say you don't even know him ? He could be so tore up inside that when his daughter got hurt , he needed to release some anger and take it out on the tree ( which he probally was blaming) . If that man knew you were running him down , I bet you be lying right there next to his daughter . The problem here is not the man cutting down the tree but the nosy neighbor peeking through the curtains telling the world what an a** hole his neighbor is , man up , I don't care what part of the country you're from , that's just wrong . I wouldn't want a neighbor like you , I'd move .
