    What’s Your SMALLER Equipment Setup?

A larger chipper with bells and whistles will be more efficient. This has been stated over and over. A crane is also generally more efficient than a wood dolly... If you're curious about a 6 inch chipper I would rent a similar model and use it for your typical workday. Figure out what your...

Throw line tricks and tips learned over the years

I keep the throwbag on as well when pulling up a climbing line. Most of my non-spliced ropes have a throwline loop stitched into them so I can clip onto the ball. I usually use a steel biner for the termination end of my climbing systems which also add some extra weight to the throwball when...

    Skylotec & Husqvarna Power Ascender

We demoed a Skylotek last year. Great tool, would probably be a really good long-term investment for a young production climber. It was roughly $30000 Canadian.

    SRT device poll

I've often wondered about keeping a short length of cord that you could tether to the end of your line and transfer the HH onto for storage or transfer to another line. I'm sure someone has posted this somewhere on the buzz.

    SRT device poll

I've been A Quickie wide enough to sandwich the e&e between the shackle and the body of the HH would make for a slick setup. Tether the Quickie to the HH to make it all drop resistant.

*SOLD* Buckingham Buckalloy Aluminum Spurs *SOLD*

This is the exact set up I would like. I already have both sets of straps but would like to upgrade my stirrups from steel to something lighter. Probably not worth it for me but for anyone starting out this is a sweet setup.

    Body care

Massage guns are fantastic! Highly recommend smaller versions for travel. Yoga didn't click for me until I realized I was getting in my own way. Being competitive and inflexible do not pair well with yoga. Regress all poses with bands, blocks etc until you can do the version that works for YOU...

    alternating between SRT and DdRT

I described removing the pinto pulley from a pulley saver and replacing it with a single rigging ring. A Zigzag and pulley may be a perfect setup for you. It's not for me and at this point in my career I know what's good for my body and what will cause me grief. A very tiny amount of friction...

    alternating between SRT and DdRT

A ring...not rings. Again, it introduces very little friction on the haul side. I can also go on about the downsides of using a zig zag but if it works for you that's all that matters.

Coming in at double the weight of the Eliot Prof 6, this guy can barely be considered a wee chipper. Cool design though... https://www.rabaud.com/en/products/wood-chipper-shredder/track-wood-chipper-vegetor-110-c.html?filiere=espaces-verts

Thanks, my mutt is 12 yrs old and she still doesn't hesitate to jump off the diving board into the lake.

    alternating between SRT and DdRT

Others have already answered it. Rings offer very little friction loss on the haul but introduce enough friction to facilitate slack tending. Rings are buttery smooth and the small amount of friction actually reduces the load placed on the hitch.

    alternating between SRT and DdRT

I appreciate these pictures. I blend SRT and DdRT all the time, although usually on separate lines. I might give a few of these tricks a go. I do like the idea of two foot ascenders, I can see that as a really efficient ascent system. Dragging around both legs in order to ascend might get old...
