unedited climbing a huge old oak (quite boring stuff)

What are you using for your climb line? Read a review of the CT cric complaining about it not fitting larger diameter ropes… I’m currently climbing blue moon

unedited climbing a huge old oak (quite boring stuff)

thanks for sharing— I’ve thought about doing this but only recently developed enough as a climber to feel it might be worthwhile. A few questions: What was the device you used for the “most unnecessary three to one”? What cordage are you using for your lanyard? Looks like 10mm Sirius? I...

Incidentally I will also be releasing an album of me snoring while playing banjo for deep focus work.

    Arborfest Lodgings?

Hey all! I will be traveling to Arborfest at the end of the month and am wondering if anyone else is going and might have a spare floor/couch/bed in an airbnb or something of that nature (gladly will share the cost). I will be renting a car and am planning to bring my banjo (that is both a...

Ode to the half day Nothing quite like lying on the couch in that half day sweat watching bullshit on the TV while I wait for my loving wife to come home and ask me what I did today And if that truth rubs you the wrong way I'd say you're overdue.

    A fine day of climbing...

Just want to make sure I understand what I’m looking at- that clove hitch with the carabiner is essentially a fixed anchor point off of which you’re running a now moving system to make it easier to manage slack on return from limb walk? Very cool thanks for sharing. Enjoy that tree buzz- nothing...

    Cutting through metal?

All the cables are gone- pulled those out easy enough- there’s something bigger and badder in there. Gonna do some “digging” with old chain next rainy day… love the inoculation idea- gotta bring this puppy down to grade to move the fence to the property line.

    Cutting through metal?

Dang what a great list of options- thanks everyone. Also much appreciate the words of caution with estimating. It’s a fairly high pressure gig because the client is my wife! I think I may try the jack hammer route. I’ll post pictures of whatever happens…
