In the old days I could use Picasa to imbed an image into a post, but now, I can't do it. Nothing works. How do you include an image? I assume I still need a url. Where should I store my photos? I thought Google photos would work, but I can't find a place to discover a url there. Why is this so...

    Best saddle for Women

I was a mere few hours late registering before it filled up, so I'm wait listed. Bummer.

    Stihl hard starting

I'm experiencing this on some of our saws the last few weeks. I think that on really hot excessively humid days the saws don't get enough oxygen. I have to start some on half choke even when they have just been running. Sometimes taking off the air filter works, but you'll have to put it back on...

    Is this enough?

I don't buy saws. I spend a lot of time maintaining the ones we have though, which is more than enough for two people.

    Is this enough?

Where is the delete button? I swear there was one last week. This post is useless without the picture that won't show up properly.

    Is this enough?

Is that enough saws for two people? That's not even the whole arsenal. I find the saws to be temperamental on hot days with high humidity. Nice to have choices.

so you think its a democracy?

The Founding Fathers wanted a system that would prevent a runaway populist from gaining power. They endeavored to make sure sober, steady moneyed interests always held sway. They weren't trying to be assholes. They were thinking about preventing a potential French revolution on American soil...

I like Paul's Chestie. I use it every SRT climb. Comfortable and well designed.

    Best saddle for Women

I'd love to try the Onyx. Even though I've been doing this job for a decade, I've only really experienced two harnesses. The only one of note is the Sequoia. It's pretty good, and a lot of women like it. It's certainly comfortable but it has a tendency to slip down with a saw or any weight on...

    Tree Swing Between Pines

He is a nice guy! We refer him cat rescue when we can't. However, we have more than enough savvy and skill to build this. It's not the first time a long swiing has been hung by us. I just like to get ideas when it's at least in some way, a first.

    Tree Swing Between Pines

A client wants a tree swing and it's going to be installed between two tall pines anchored somewhere between 20 and 30 feet on each pine. We're planning it to be non invasive, secured with slings on each pine. It will be revisited every couple of years to make adjustments. Has anyone done one...

    TIP Failure

In my opinion a tie in that far from the union shouldn't be relied on, ever. TIP failures are becoming more common as climbers adopt SRT. Dr. Ball is reporting a big increase in accidents resulting from tie-in failure. I don't think people appreciate the fulcrum effect clearly. A visual 'feel'...
