Hey what about these:

There's a more simple version which doesn't require the fancy attachment if you're not doing flips. I believe these are used with tandem lines all the way to the anchor or whatever, but you could just as easily connect...
No I just meant if you went as far as making a framework gimbal, pivoting around your D's, you'd have a framework you're hauling around. Still golden in front of you, but in your sides not so much.
Will definitely give that a try. My setup has so much sitback, and I can't believe it, but I have yet to do any real climbing on my new treemotion... So the sit part previously has been miserable. I try to get on a limb asap when hanging in a rock harness!
Sadly no, only in the last 10 years have telemarketers stopped asking me if they were speaking to the lady of the house... And that's probably because I cancelled our land line.
I can be very descriptive. I'll do that whisper ASMR thing all the YouTube people are doing.
"Ok so then there's a guy and he's on spikes probably, and he's kinda got one rope wrapped around his waist maybe? And he's got this other rope, or maybe it's a sling... No there's a knot, it's...
Step 1: hold it out in front of you
Step 2: collapse it diagonally so it flattens
Step 3: fold it in half
Step 4: hold it in front of you so it's square/rectangle, with one hand on either side, roughly in the center.
Step 5: start to fold it like a taco

Do you just set up with a hitch and tender and footlock on up? That's basically what I do on MRS but it wears me out as I'm not in the best shape of my life... I guess I'd get there twice as fast, but I'd be lifting twice the weight so I'm not sure what's better.
@Treetopflyer and @JTree, hauling multiples up makes sense, and just leave the anchor tied - thanks for the idea!
@treebing I'll definitely give the vortex a try, I'd just heard big stuff doesn't run well and I thought it seems like toothed ascenders would be hard on it with it being so soft...
I've seen a few posts searching the forums that touch on this, but I wanted to see if I could get the brain trust to gather thoughts on the topic.
Obviously with DRT/MRS, it's necessary to have a single piece of rope to run through the system, but is it necessary on SRT/SRS?
I'm looking into...
Sorry guys, I have bad news... @Brocky has been reported missing, this might be his last post. Police reports say it looks like he left in a hurry, but had time to type a note that reads: "Dear arborists, I was wrong. Simple and inexpensive are just pipedreams. Keep buying pulleys... The...
Mahalo! I'll get that sent right away.
I only visited the big island once, don't remember a lot.
I lived on Oahu when I was young, and visited again as an adult. I lived near the ocean nearly my whole life until my last move, and I miss it.
I've come to like where we live now, but my wife and...
