I recently saw a meme that read; "I'll cut your tree down for the firewood, the day you mow my lawn for the dog s#*t."

Rear camera placement (on hitch plate)

I use Rear View Safety camera systems. I find it best to use the 2 cameras with one monitor. One camera is mounted top center of the chip box. the second is mounted up and above the pintle/ball (centered). The upper camera is used when backing up chipper, or when hitching up, getting me close...

    One ton opinions

Almost identical to my chip truck. Same colour. Mine is a 1999 with a stick. Kinda wish it was an auto so my son and the kids I hire could drive it I made a removable aluminum in chip box to go on the dump bed. Then I replaced the drop down steel sides ( it was a landscape dump box ) with custom...

What sized chipper would you go with?

I started with a flatbed snowmobile trailer. I only do removals. Loading and unloading was a ton of work. I purchased a Bandit 65xp and it changed my world. Only had a 25 hp Kohler, but man did it make me money. Built my company on that little chipper. Sure, I left a lot more firewood, but it...

    Too cold for gopro

I keep my iPhone in my pfanner's outside pocket and it goes dead fairly early on cold days. I now use either "hand warmers" or better yet "toe warmers" as they have adhesive on one side so they stick to the phone. They keep the battery warmer longer and seem to do the trick. I've run into a...

GRCS, used but not very much.

Wouldn't think of selling my GRCS. Would buy a second one if the price was right. Don't use it often, but when I do........ I've used the GRCS and a Milwaukee superhawg to get me into trees. Still want to get a Wraptor.

    Crane School 2017

Hampton Inn for John and I. Heavy rain and thunderstorms kept the cranes stowed, so we spent the day in the classroom today. Weather for the next two days is looking better, so can't wait for tomorrow.

    Bucket truck hydro fluid

Yup I fly an ALC boom. Uses ATF for oil. Was using it last Sunday and saw a ton of it all over the customers driveway. Squirrels must have chewed the lines inside the lower boom. What was supposed to be a quick half hour job turned into a whole day with cleaning up the mess and climbing the...
