    Most underrated gear

I think the most under rated piece of climbing gear is a webbing sling. One of the small diameter ones you can pick up at REI. Useful in so many ways.

Lol yeah. But unless you like huge groups full of idiots and assholes, don't go joining any of the bigger groups. 16k guys, about 15,980 of them are idiots.

    Hello> New guy

Thanks man! Honestly I sort of forgot about the buzz for a while. I'm in an amazing group of arborists on FB. Everyone is vetted, no arguing or bullshit. Very talented folks. I know many of them personally from rec climbs and comps. That's where I spend most my online time, but I need to be...

    Hello> New guy

Hey Walt, I'm also in Chesapeake VA. Western Branch area. I'm always down for a rec climb and sharing what little knowledge I have and letting others try my gear. I have a lot of cool toys, enough to get us both into a tree SRT. Also have some great trees at my place with bells already hung...

You can do this setup with a ring and ring, but the only drawback is that it isn't midline attachable. Still works fantastic for retrieval. Haven't found a number of redirects it wouldn't pull.

How were they setup when they failed? I asked around, it was done with a static pull test. Rope broke first everytime. Curious how they managed to break a pinto.

    SRT Canopy Anchor Tutorial

It's been tested by a third party. I should have mentioned that in the video. Knot failed first every time. Cant remember who tested it, but I can find out if it really bugs you. I don't think the pinto is as brittle as you think it is bud. Pinto strong like ox.

    Samson 11.8 rope

I have a test version of Tangent. Dont know if it reflects the finished product or not My thoughts- Has an excellent, soft feel. Knots really well. A little on the bouncy side, but not awful. Feels bigger than the listed size. Doesn't seem that tough. Picks easy with ascenders. RR runs...
