SRT Canopy Anchor Tutorial

Good video. I've used the first pinto set up for years and got away from it due to dropability of the pieces. I went to a simple ring and bowline that a very good friend of mine was using. I like the second pinto set up except the knot blocking concerns. And I like the ring idea with the bite. I set it up in the office with the wife's arm and it does retrieve... at least the way I interpreted @Jehinten s description.

Please excuse the hardware. It's all rated, but I don't happen to have a revolver handy
Dang things loaded in the wrong order
First is the loose setup
Third is loaded
Second is pulling on the retrieval side

I think the wrench is arguable. I believe richard mumford made a video showing you don't need a wrench to achieve the required torque.
The downside I have found is setting it from the ground the ring in the throwball turns sideways and takes some effort to get back down.

Never mind with a hundred feet of rope under it it's not gonna work :muyenojado::tonto::pcmala:

That is how I had it envisioned, although I have seen your later post and agree with you and @Toomuchsawdust that with a longer working end it will wrap over the limb and create to much friction.

Does anyone just use a Quickie on an Alpine Butterfly? Simple, bomber and as the slic pin rotates, reduces a bit of friction for pulling redirects.
Yep.

My anchor kit includes
Quickie
Pinto
Pear Screwlink
Mostly an AB knot or a simple schafold knot.

These get used in many different configurations and in ways I consider safe and appropriate depending on the situation. Every tree is different and every climb is different.
