A good day to stay alive

Possibly. It is true that I have never wished I had a pickup truck doing the pulling. I personally can't imagine a scenario where I would and it seems scary to me. I am pretty wimpy when it comes to those sort of things. I don't think pickup trucks were designed for that purpose and the...

pulling with a pickup truck is a recipe for disaster. Little to no feel on what is going on. Very crude and easily screwed up. Glad your okay Daniel.

How can I sell the design for a climbing gadget?

An idea alone is kind of like that black walnut tree in a yard next to the garage and over the powerlines that the owner wants to sell you to cut down. There is potentially many thousands of fine furniture in there but its all in the processing.

    Redundant Bridge vs. Second Bridge

If I would have picked one, I would still be climbing on that one. I still haven't found one that I'm happy with.

    Redundant Bridge vs. Second Bridge

You can do 180s. It is much much easier than managing two ropes with rings. And two bridges allowed you to position between the ropes.

    Redundant Bridge vs. Second Bridge

I absolutely love having two bridges with two swivels. Two separate points of attachment that are independent and don't get tangled.

Strength loss in EAB infested trees

My experience with EAB is that the wood maintains strength and hinge wood long after the tree is dead, but the roots decay very quickly and the tree becomes unstable. I never found that the wood itself was decayed or rotten.

    Patent question

You can get a provisional patent which you can file for 100$ you can do it yourself or have it professionally done with a patent artist and a lawyer to right it up which could be 4k or more. This gives you a head start on a real patent That gives you a year to do something with it as well...

Pulling with Snatch rings vs. X-Rings vs. Blocks

What I like about this snatch block idea is the midline attachability options for it. Which is why I have never gotten too into ring usage, because I have to thread it.

    Quickie killer?

Just needs to be a little more cumbersome. That's all.

    Quickie killer?

I feel like they should just recall the instructions. Nothing wrong with the ultralink as a perfectly good tool for easy opening applications. if they were to just send a new set of instructions minus the anchoring pictures it would be fine. Like where a single lock carabiner is fine... just...

    Quickie killer?

I still want mine though. I'm kind of irritated that I probably won't even get a chance to get one.

    Quickie killer?

One of the greatest things about the quickie from my point of view is how easy they are to lose! Lol.

Best rigging block for the job

I had a job a while back, I used 9 blocks! I was glad I'm a hoarder. I prefer screw locks to spring locks. The CMI just seem to align with KISS.

Best rigging block for the job

Like did you give them to somebody at least? I've had a couple cmi blocks for close to 20 years. I have some nice isc and dmm and notch blocks as well. But I PREFER the CMI. I still want more.
