So I went to Home Depot today and for less than $100 bucks I got both of these. Still need to fine tune with some wood or foam but you get the idea. Never going to survive a nuclear strike but for basic protection and to keep it self contained these aren't bad.
In all seriousness, it is really a crap shoot and personal preference. All the devices have pro's and con's, and they all get weird on occasion. The exact reason Mert gave for switching from the Akimbo to the Bone is exactly why I switched from the Bone to the Akimbo on certain days or jobs. All...
Monday is Unicender day
Tuesday is Bulldog Bone day
Wednesday is ZigZag day
Thursday is Rope Runner day
Friday is Akimbo day
No day is ever hitch cord day

Now I should add that I needed spacers also, but I new that going in. Trailer rims have different offsets. However I knew if I ever got OTT tracks I would need spacers anyway. I think the spacers ran me another $100 for the set of 4.
I actually just put 8 ply trailer tires on mine. New tire and rims $200 total. So far they have worked well when plowing snow with the 323 and seam to work well on lawns to.
I own a 323 and can screw up a lawn like it was my job. Lawn damage aka turf friendly is so much more than the choice between wheels or tracks. Now after saying that.... if turf friendly was my #1 goal I would take an Avant or other articulated wheel load.
I got an F350 stake/dump with GVW of 13+. I only have @4k of actual payload capacity. The dumps add a bunch of weight. I sit curbside at 9+. Sure I have had 8 or 9k in the bed on occasion, but I would not want to abuse the truck that badly every day. Nor would I honestly want to carry 4k...
Got the Wraptor yesterday. It actually came from a pawn shop, I guess somebody needed money in a hurry. It is about 95% new looking. Put gas in it and it started right up. Gave all the bolts and connections the once over and did a quick 15ft ascent. Thanks again Gordon for bringing that link...
I did Steve, I sold it when I bought the GRCS. At my age and not climbing everyday I did miss it. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money again. This deal was to sweet to pass on though.
I looked at that myself, let know how you like it. Looked like it would make a good shear for bamboo patches, which we have lots of around here. People love them until they take over their yards.
For those interested a couple bucket clamp on devices I got from a company "Ratchet Rake". Quality isn't bad for the cost @$300 each. First one was what I was pushing snow around with. Second one will be used for ripping ground vines and gravel driveways.
I own 5 Echo saws and they all work great. 310, 330T, 360T, 490, 590, I think you may have got a lemon. That doesn't excuse the bad customer service though. Sounds like you got a second rate dealer also though. You did get it from a real dealer and not "Home improvement store" I hope.
