    Arbor trolley

Yup, it was the way my father raised me. To be responsible for myself. I've only damaged a company's property once. I paid for it. Not because I was told to but, because I felt responsible for it. One other time, while ripping a roof off, there was a neon vacancy sign mounted to the roof. The...

Ford F-350 as a chip truck

My F 350 dump has a 9' plus dump body. Walls are as high as the head board. No top .... I tilt the dump up to catch chips and keeps a limit on how many yards can be blown in. 3-4 I'd guess. Great for small jobs. Decent setup for 12'' chipper or smaller. Small removals, pruning's, stump...

    Another Loss

I did not know him well. Just a bit of posting over there from time to time. What little I did know of him was he seemed to be of good peeps. RIP Stig.

    Overuse Injuries

Mine too. I have reduced refined sugar intake to almost nothing. My home brew, large sized, coffee gets half a teaspoon of pure cane sugar. I eat very few sweets, just a lil bit of Ice cream here and there during summer months, and additional cut backs throughout the years.

    New pads for spurs?

:ROFLMAO: You kill me. Thats a really cool pic. Love the time worn gear. An aged look of excellence. The Hobbs has served some duty.

    New pads for spurs?

I checked them out on Arbsession. They're cheaper than the velcro wraps and the replaceable pads come in at $14. Add in some upper straps and It's a done deal. I like that.

    New pads for spurs?

Thanks for the review. They sound intriguing for my next replacements. BTW, this is the 1st reference of "Mallory" I've heard. Well, 1st since my drag racing days.... Always learning something new.

    New pads for spurs?

Few years back I got a set of Stein gaffs from someone here. Never used, set up for SRT, with ascender and knee ascender attachment point, and fitted with big buck pads. The price was right so, I snatched them up. I setup an extra climbing kit and left them in it. About 4yrs ago I left my main...

    Overuse Injuries

Those were my original thoughts some time ago. When I added citric acid, as explained to me in my above post, it went away. I had always thought it was excess acid too. Maybe this was a isolated incident for me, and a coincidence that the citric was added afterwards? I haven't had heartburn...

    Overuse Injuries

I've never been into big pharma or the like. The symptom gets treated but never the cause. With that said, I rarely ever get heartburn. When the rare occasion occurs, I don't resort to anti acids ''medicine.'' Some time ago I learned heartburn was from the lack of acids in the stomach. The burn...

No..... Each of us have our own preferences. What works wonders for one is a PITA for another. It's why there are so many different devices available, and different styles of climbing. We all have our niche and what works, as well as, what doesn't. Without all that, life would be quite boring.

    Overuse Injuries

My body seems to be "breaking down" progressively over the past 1 and a half yrs. Mostly severe injuries from 32yrs prior collecting their toll. My body says no while my mind screams go. The pain flares up when I push myself, as a stiff slap in the face to the mind. I do realize diet and...

    How's the work flow?

Steve, hows the building trades down there? You set trusses with that knuckle? I ask because the stick crane I frequent is quite busy. Besides the tree service he's tied to, he subs to a couple other tree guys and sets trusses.

Lets see some shit... Shitty tree work picks from other companies in your area.

Matias, you could always educate the customer. In turn, they can provide the bad referrals. Knock, knock, ...."Hello, my name is Matias and I'm a professional arborist. I've been driving past your tree/s on a daily basis and I'm curious if you're looking to have the removal/s finished." ...

    Today....

One of my favorite times of the year. I love watching the trees in bloom. Looking forwards to seeing the old growth black locusts here at home in bloom. They need to come down..... They have at least one more season to show themselves off.

    Compact Bulldog Bone

I understand all of what you say here, and I don't disagree. As far as the milling, A vertex copy would be next to, if not impossible to duplicate with a standard mill. It would be very crude in comparison if it could be done. Maybe some tedious hand filing could finish up the pockets in the...

    Compact Bulldog Bone

I did say, "I think,'' and I said nothing of cutting corners. By percentages, I meant the inventor only gets a commission on sales compared to what Gordon gets for the BDB. After all testing and mods are done, it's understandable. It still does seem the inventor is practically shadowed over by...
