Now jus rememma Matias that mah granmamma dun told me I catch mo flies wif honey den vineguh.I live in a pretty small town, but I would be totally ok with telling these MFers how shitty that work is to their face. I think they really just don't know, and those are on main roads.
I think the whole world is that small! There have been other locals from the island posting here from time to time, for example the guy who listed the Isuzu on TreeBay very recently, and I have to assume others may at least read the forum even if they don't post. I remember many years ago seeing photos of someone on ArboristSite posting pictures from the island, though I never deduced who that was. One bit of tree work I'm specifically thinking of and was about to take a photo of but stopped myself, is in front of a local business. I actually assume it was the owners of the business that did the bad work and not another tree company, but either way its a small world I live in and I can't imagine calling it out would be helpful.
I hear ya, but I am not sure what flies I'm supposed to be catching here... I would probably tell them in the most polite way I can come up with, but I do wonder how they would react to even that. Now jus rememma Matias that mah granmamma dun told me I catch mo flies wif honey den vineguh.
True. Some people are just wanting a job I guess and not a passionate life’s work.I hear ya, but I am not sure what flies I'm supposed to be catching here... I would probably tell them in the most polite way I can come up with, but I do wonder how they would react to even that.
That is my plan in a nutshell. I have a good return when things get slow enough that I have to go knockin doors.Matias, you could always educate the customer. In turn, they can provide the bad referrals.
Knock, knock, ...."Hello, my name is Matias and I'm a professional arborist. I've been driving past your tree/s on a daily basis and I'm curious if you're looking to have the removal/s finished." ..... "OH MY! You mean they charged you for a pruning/reduction?!?!"
LOL

The one covered in ivy is cakeHere's one from outside my home area from the other day. Someone clearly put in a fair bit of work to hat-rack those poplars at the same heights!

I think you are giving way too much credit...that's as high as their bucket would reach. They cheated with a laser transit.
Looks like they were just getting a face cut into it when it failed. I bet it had a good lean in the "wrong" direction, but they neglected to put a pull rope on it before commencing with the cuts.
Meh, I’ve seen worse, from very close up…..regularly.Here's one from outside my home area from the other day. Someone clearly put in a fair bit of work to hat-rack those poplars at the same heights!
