I had a scam experience very early on in the buzz. Luckily it was not a massive purchase. He had scammed others on here before. He made a new username and posted on just enough non treebay/buy inquiries, and sent enough messages to look like he has a little history. I would have caught it if I...
Also, if you haven’t been already, Minneapolis saw company has a nice selection of gear you can check out and purchase locally. They’re really great people.
I’m not looking for anything in particular! Just other lifeforms to climb with.
I have not tried either saddle but I most definitely wouldn’t choose to climb on either one. Need a bridge. But then again, I climb for work. Not sure about the needs of dedicated Rec climbers. However unless I...
Anyone around in the metro area? Business is slower and officially caught up on most of the obscure shop work I can come up with. Haven’t climbed with anyone else since I worked for another company a couple years ago and hardly even then.
Not bad! I like the idea. Worked decent for some practice climbs in the yard. Too much sit back for me to use as a primary but gonna try it on my lanyard this week for work. I like that you can use it with the HC pulley, sticht doesn’t work well with it. I primarily choke my lanyard off these...
noticed the double carabiner swivel and figured I might share this here. Solid solution when you don’t rely on eyes and a pulley. Obviously doesn’t need to be a sticht. Nice and compact.
MCRS for sale / trade. I posted it awhile back, trying again. Great saddle but it’s just been collecting dust. Super comfy to hang in. Cool saddle to have around.
I wasn’t sure what to price it at before, trying to get $200 shipped for now. Good amount of life left on the set up suspension...
Are great. Got ‘em for $3 during the Black Friday sale. Finally moving on to my 2nd pair and not even because I absolutely need to… went through 5 pairs of atlas insulated last winter. Gone as low as -5ish pre-windchill and they’ve been great with a surgical glove vapor barrier. Figured I would...
I’ve little experience with 26”. Armor prus 10mm and 9.3 epicord. Both worked well on tachyon ash, drenaline, and my prized marlow Vega.
As a newer climber, I found less sit back greatly increased my feeling of safety. 24” epi, hrc, and 8mm armor prus. Michoacán only on all. I tried other...
Controlled speed line as mentioned! Nice and gentle, take a large piece. Situational of course. Can be frustrating to set up. If you only have 2 or 3 pieces to do just normal speed line it smaller. If there’s a long day ahead go bigger with controlled speed line.
Indeed, they are obviously made to be unscrewed. Gear checks are an important thing. However 10.5 platinum fits thru the holes without unscrewing. The overhand knot takes actually hanging in the saddle for a minute to set properly but once it does, it’s very tight. I leave a long tail on both...
