I've been working in this industry for several years now and I'm not sure how to make a resume of it. I guess it's really all been 1099 work or cash. I'm already just going to omit most of the outfits I worked with. But aside from that, I'm trying to figure out how to make a concise resume...

Anyone have opinions on this line? Can't decide if its worth it. Biggest plus I would see is if a rig line is close quarters with a climb line and the groundies arent the brightest. Maybe it could resist the friction damage for a...

Someone needs to do way more testing like this, but you can see how some of those hitches went 40" down the rope before catching, and on Tech11 even actually hit the ground.
Also, I had been wondering if you could tie a...
So far I really like 'approach shoes' from the outdoor world. They are kinda in between a rock climbing shoe and a hiking shoe.
I got a deal on Five Ten Guide series of shoes, and definitely recommend them--

Based on my experience baking soda just absorbs odor for a few hours, it won't really clean. I rubbed it all over the inside and outside of my work shoes, even under the insoles, for weeks with no significant, long term improvement.
It got to the point where someone couldn't sit twelve feet...
Very basic question, but I'm really not sure what will work best. I soaked my shoes in rubbing alcohol last week (lol I know, internet advice) and its already coming back. My shirts would reek on their own after a day, and its starting to last through the wash.
Maybe put stuff in the...
There are more videos on that channel, but its mostly rope access, rescue oriented. The takeway is that you can use foot ascenders with a grigri style descender.

for 10-11mm rope
They seem to sell for around 155 euro / 180 usd, plus shipping.
I'm looking for...
Almost couldnt remember the name, this is very similar. I'm not clear on what angles the line exits at, doesn't seem like nearly enough now that I look at it again(we would need around 90-120 degrees for a bridge I suppose).

Yea I have a treemotion with the ring and if anything, a little more friction would be nice. I don't really understand bridge pulleys.
I think the limiting factor would be what a carabiner could get around. Also technically a lot of this stuff isn't rated for life support.
I think the...
Its back to rigging rings, but I think this is the best one I've seen from the marine world (price and functionality)--
One that runs 13mm in the outer groove is $46USD + s/h
I think dyneema shock cord or just slip knotted cordage could rapidly lock a line in the groove, and soft shackles...

These are basically pulleys with sheaves that can't rotate.
This would provide more friction than a rigging...
Ive been working occasionally on questions like this, not quite ready to present my own findings. I would say that either adding additinal protective coating to the last five feet of the rope or adding a chafe sleeve would be a nice way to enhance the value of this system as it stands.
As guys...
Anything with technora in the sheath is also going to abrade whatever its coming in contact with quickly than polyester, etc. So if you have a sliding bridge ring it will wear out quicker.
Globe 3000 had some sort of secondary polyester sheath layer to reduce or prevent core/cover slippage...
