Should You Ask Customers for a Review?

I feel that it is appropriate to ask. They can always decline or not do it. They may not know that you or your company has need of a review or a place to do so. I feel that your relationship with your customer is/or should be mutually beneficial to both parties. It doesn't always work that way.

    Feedwheel design

Your feedwheels should not move side to side. If they are you need to look at your bearings and make sure your set screws are tight. I worked for a guy years ago that had a morbark with feedwheels like yours they get the job done but I like how bandits have the knife edge.

    Salsco 810M chipper clutch chirping

Pilot bearing could be beginning to seize up. I say that because you said the cutter wheel/drum is moving without the clutch engaged. Chipper pto's take alot of abuse because they are side loaded.

Is it an over center clutch, like the one in the picture. Also is there any manufacturer tag on the housing?

What to do B4 attempting to start a VERY old chainsaw?

You will probably have to hold the throttle shutter open to allow the fuel down into the engine.

What to do B4 attempting to start a VERY old chainsaw?

I would first check to make sure you have spark. Then I would pour a small amount of fuel down the carb. And try to start it. My guess is that if the fuel line rotted off the metering and pump diaphragms are stiff as well. And not going to work properly. That is on the pretence that the engine...

$800 to spend - tell me what to buy!

I would save or put up a little more money and buy a 70cc saw. 461 Stihl/372 Husky/7900makita. I feel that it will give you way more options than a 60cc saw will. From felling, bucking, stumping and in the tree. I have heard that husky has some good deals on the 372. I just search the makita 7900...

    Round Files

Stihl files are made by Vallorbe. A factory Stihl rep told me when I asked him at the expo a few years ago. Save edge files are nice files as well they remove a lot of material in a hurry. IMO they don't leave a nice crisp edge as other files do. Pferd is a nice file as well I would say they...
