    Rare for them to get very large or straight. They are riparian, and grow only when they get water. When they get consistent water from landscaping they grow and grow. Only tree we have in the desert that doesn’t crack and twist like crazy when drying.

    My buddy has a B wise trailer with a ramp gate you can winch dead cows…or logs…up. I do the same with a tilt bed trailer.

    Tree oddities

    I have cut salt cedars almost to just spars, and they explode furiously. Very soon they become a solid hedge.
