so far so good, still gotta get them adjusted better, and figure out a good tightness for the top strap, as it doesnt squeeze the whole calf like the leather pads
got some caddy pads this morning, im super happy with them, if anyone is looking for pads get them
I kinda sorta forgot I was on spurs for a moment or two on my test climb, its weird, like your spurs and leg become one and its almost natural to just walk up the tree
the original bridge on my saddle is some super stiff rope, im assuming a stiff kernmantle
I use samson vortex for a second bridge, so far it works good, has settled about 3 inches and is no longer the same length as my other bridge, but so far I like it
I was loving the calf, BUT for some reason the saw straps + spur straps squeezing my calf was a bit to much, started using the new waist spot, and it works great, your setup might just be too close to your lanyard, mine is on the opposite side of my lanyard, works good
get your hands on a zigzag and chicane for a day, other than it not being midline attachable it is amazing
p.s you have to use a petzl carabiner for the chicane, as the hole in it is shaped to match a petzl biner
by itself, just zip that nut right off, might have to do it in "bursts" instead of one straight shot, as with hammering on it more than a half second or so will start spinning the engine over, leave your spark plug in so it builds compression
