DMM Large axis swivel, light wear marks from bridge but In great shape $50 shipped
Petzl Huit figure 8- like new $20 shipped
Yale code blue beeline foot lock prussic, some light wear no glazing was sewn by arbsession in December of 21 and used a handful of times through the last few years but...
The kalimba is floating in that weird range between the two cam sizes, maybe try the larger B cam? And the mercury is slightly undersized for the A cam unless it’s good and fuzzy so that may come into play
So I picked up one last week, it flattens ropes hard, I had the same experience as you when using marlow’s maverick. Being a heavier climber (230#) it was almost like an improper akimbo setting when using the “low friction” setting, very jumpy all or nothing. I tried blue32 and drenaline, blue32...
Keep someone glued to marketplace we’ve recovered saws a few times. the company I work for got hit three times last month, twice on job sites and once while a crew was actually trimming and chipping, guy pulled up passenger hopped out snagged the saws out of the bins and drove out, unfortunately...
The new kask zeniths are garbage, the ratchet systems are far less sturdy, the plastic ear muff slots expand/wear out within a year so if you go to flip the ear pro up it pops out into your hand. Very disappointed as I loved the superplasma’s. If you think you can somehow get a ratchet system...
I got to try the reflex in both MRS and SRS on a rec climb set up. While both the reflex and zigzag may have “links” in common that’s honestly about it at least in my experience. MRS is fine, I miss the self tending of the zigzag in MRS and I do think the best way to describe it is a dialed in...
So just on appearances it looks like an adjustable friction saver that either gets knot blocked or jammed? With the ability for an access/retrieval line? Kind of a midline twinline without the pulley?
here in Michigan they act the same as what Brando mentioned, I have seen large sections fail in hot humid summer storms and they get quite snappy in the cold but will hinge like a mozzarella stick in the summer. Generally impossible to not find a great rig point somewhere. The buds are insanely...
So far it seems like most of these slippage or issues are when the device is in an SRS configuration so I wouldn’t be surprised if the “optional” wrench becomes the required wrench. Either way, it’s a shame between these negative reports for this device and the initial launch of the blackbird or...
Saw the same video this morning, Jason who was the mind behind it commented saying this wasn’t the only case but also rope age/wear weather and condition of the top spring are all factors, I wonder if we’ll see an “approved” rope list come out instead of the rope diameter range
I haven’t been able to climb on my co-workers yet but he’s been an avid zigzag for Mrs and rope runner for SRS, he hasn’t ran the reflex SRS yet but he does like MRS so far, he says less jumpy than the ZZ, almost like a dialed in hitch as far as feel to him. He’s climbing on kalimba.
Tip for fluid film, get a cheap hot plate and an old glass coffee pot itll keep it warm between refills, used to do it with older enamel paint for cars too.
Put a xsre under that bight and then you can grab the xsre to tighten and loosen the “buckle” significantly easier, still won’t open up like a cobra buckle but it’s the next best thing
Honestly do what everyone did with the original treemotion light, shove a xsre biner where the webbing goes into the “buckle” easy on and off adjustment just pull the xsre to loosen
Arbsession is supposed to be getting a large shipment finally so maybe we’ll see more feedback and comparisons. Even if the friction plates wear fast I do appreciate from what I’ve seen that’s it’s an easy and relatively cheap fix to be back to new, it’s what I loved about the OG runner.
Seems like this device has been significantly overshadowed by the akimbo 2 and now the reflex, but seems on par for ART’s devices seems to be those who love them love them and it’s meh to everyone else.
