I saw somewhere that someone is splicing these hollow braids by separating the strands and tucking them in among the other strands of the hollow braid similar to 3-strand tucking. Just wondering if anyone here has done that and can explain their process.
Thanks!
Been using Mauget for the past few years and frankly I'm not at all pleased with the speed of uptake, frequent lack of uptake, and cracking capsules upon pressurization.
I want to change to something else that is quicker, less finicky and more reliable in delivery. Just wanted to get a feel...
At 5' 8" and 235 pounds I found the size-2 Petzl Sequoia good to work with. Enough so that when I lost all that weight I got the next size down and am still flying on it. Really haven't found a need to give more than a casual glance at the other saddles.
I've been using a Sequoia for as long...
Agreed, what they do on their time is fine with me, unless it affects them while on my time. I have serious issues with that.
Never had someone show up stoned or drunk. Hungover is a different story, though. Several have arrived half-dead and incapable of being fully attentive. As far as...
I'd love to say I'm high speed Tony but truth is, I'm pretty much low and slow!
These allgear ropes all glazed with very reasonable if not slow movements in the trees. This was especially true for my boy. He climbed because he had to and he was always excessively slow and cautious moving...
Hey Eric!
Everything is a tool in my kit-bag including natural and FC! :)
Though I cannot definitively say the glazing is NOT happening at the TIP/Crotch.FS I can say that most of it appears to be at the friction hitch. I am using ice-tail at the moment but my boy, when he was climbing, used...
Not long ago I posted about my rocket line glazing to easily.
same appears o my Cherry bomb.
lLooking for new 24str dbl braid that resists glazing. Thots?
Am finding that my icetail E2E with a full crossover bury just isn't grabbing my 11mm line as well as some of the other smaller diameter E2E prussics I've been seeing folks use.
I cannot see why I can't just go with a non-cross over bury on this stuff. Thots either way?
No problemo Bro!
Something else you might want to look into is myfascial release and trigger point release. Often times when we have a "pain" (whether joint, back or any other that drive us to the edge) the root of the problem, or an antagonist of the problem can be found in muscular trigger...
If you are talking about an osteopathic physician then there is no caparison. My OP walks on water as far as I am concerned. The systemic, interconnected approach my OP employed helped solve a decades old issue I had been having. He did some chiro type manipulations to get immediate relief...
Hi Mac!
Cotton woods in essex, milton adn burlington so far. Ash was in South Burlington.
Looks like most of the leaf drop was in the two weeks preceding 4-Jul. We had about 3 weeks with very few rainshowers leading up to that. Seems that the leaf drop has slowed according to customers and...
Any one have suggestions that would cause sudden leaf drop?
We've had a lot of cottonwoods (Populus deltoides) and white ash (Fraxinus americana) just up and drop whole otherwise normal leaves. No spotting, wilting or anything else on the leaves.
FWIW We've had normal rainfall but in soaking...
I'm fixing to replace all my doublebraid ring and rings with 1/2 inch tenex covered with tubular nylon chafe sleeves. What I want to do is splice it much the same way we'd do a beeline, splice the core and whip stitch the "jacket" in place.
Only real question I have is whether or not covering...
Also, don't focus so much on the obvious fire damage from impinging flames that you miss the damage from radiated and convected heat. A lot of fire damaged trees show no signs of direct contact with the flames yet will show huge necrotic portions killed from radiated and convected heat the...
