Next time someone wants to know what dark humor is, just tell them to google and watch the comedy stylings of Anthony Jeselnik. His material is the purest definition of dark humor. I'm a huge fan.
My assumption was more racist than the joke. I'll see myself out.
I don't know when, but at some point in the future you will look back at this and realize you're in a better place professionally than what this ISP company could have provided. Gotta stand up for yourself though. If they were...
Tell HR it sounds like they're firing you for being white. Smells like discrimination.
Don't actually do that. If you're going to lawyer it up, it's best to just go quietly without shaking the hornet's nest and let the lawyer do their thing.
That's a joke that makes you think about the sad state of society. Don't see how it's racist or offensive. I would want the offended party to explain what was racist about. I would bet money the explanation is more racist than this joke.
Devils advocate again...Hard disagree with this statement. By this logic, trains are completely unnecessary because semi trucks can do the job. Or planes are completely unnecessary because busses can do the job. Its all subjective. Spikes are just another tool that help do the job. The use...
Spur use on live trees is unprofessional but it is far from the boogyman it's made out to be.
Better let the cicadas know about making shallow wounds that create pathogen points of entry. (Sarcastic Devils advocate this time.)
Devil's advocate point of view...I would argue in court that since you're driving holes in a tree to install a satellite dish, you're clearly not worried about a 1/4" diameter wound...which is about the size wound left by a spur.
It's very gray and the argument can be validated with the right...
did this with a 3 strand line as the guy line. Rope was tighter than a banjo string when the tree hit the ground. If the rope would have snapped, could have recoiled in a number of people. That's when I learned about the Arc path and the need to play out line at an appropriate pace as the...
That's the plan. I have no need for it. When I make a treebay post I'll reserve your claim for this rope. I'll measure it to make sure the number on the bag matches what's really there.
I don't know why, but I am having trouble following/visualizing this. Especially that first part of extracting at 2 then reinserting at 2. Are you referencing the Samson class II dbl braid instructions when you say mark 2?
That attached pic is what the final splices I've seen look like...
No. The cover will be over the core in the eye. The end product looks like a traditional class 1 dbl braid splice. I've seen the finished splices up close but need to know what's actually different than a class 1 dbl braid splice.
That definitely pointed me in the right direction. Samson's tuck bury splice looks like it's for just the bare hmpe.
I did find the attached class 2 bdl braid instructions which seem more inline with what this proforce is. Core dependant dbl braid with the hmpe in the core. Do you have any...
I have 104 ft, according to the bag, unspliced right now. It will be for sale if you're interested. I'd like to try and splice it but if someone is interested in it "as is" I'll move it along to a new home. I got in a bulk buy of gear. There are other items I want to sell from that purchase but...
