Always use the yosemite here. I mean, why not? It takes what, an extra 2 seconds to make a bowline into a yosemite, and it gives that little extra feels of security. Whether I'm anchoring at the TIP or base tying, I'll use the yosemite. I've seen how easy it is to work a bowline loose. I'll take...
Exactly what Greg said, different Certs. The US pants are alot heavier because our certs are different, and for some reason require more material, thus making the pant heavier. In Europe, the pants weigh about half as much I hear(don't know if its true or not), but thats due to the certs being...
I know right!! I was going to buy some Gladitor pants from TreeStuff, but backed out last minute, they were just so heavy and it didn't feel right. Ended up talking to Abrams at the KTCC and he said just order from overseas. Their lighter, more breathable, and cheaper!
Got an inside scoop on this line. Called Vortex, marking on the reel had it at 1/2". From what it felt like, I think it'll splice very easily. Official release is TCIA.
I don't have much of a problem coming back in from limbwalks. If its some crazy limb, I'll try to redirect and just come down on it. Most the time though I have no problem with it. Actually improved my limbwalking when I switched to SRT. Just the constant friction and being able to hold onto the...
Anyone have any info the this new access line from New England? Debut looks to be TCIA Expo, saw an ad in the TCIA magazine. Wondering if anyone has any insider info.
Hey guys, I'm gonna start work on an employee handbook/guideline type of thing here soon, so we have it all in writing and everything is clear as too safety guidelines, whos responsible for what, maintenance, etc. So far, I have
-chain saw operation, safety, and maintenance
-truck maintenance...
If you rock a rope guide or pulley saver or even just a ring/ring fs, set your access line in or near your final TIP, install your RG/pulley saver/r2r, whatever, and then attach the tail of your fs to one side of your access line. Then, pull your FS out like normal, it gets caught by the access...
Re: Jerry Beranek\'s New DVD\'s!
Was lucky enough to get one from the man himself before Bailey's had them, and like Chris said, its great!! Loving it so far. Its just so much information for the price. Like 10 hours of video total I think. Amazing
Should be sending my waiver and check in soon. Just payed for the crane class, so a bit broke at the moment with rent due and what not, but I definitely plan on being there!! Is there a cut off date for sign up, or are we good as long as we get it to you before the 14th or 15th?
I love my rocket rope for rope wrenching on. I also climb on KMIII and some other New England Static Line that I bought from BostonBull, don't recall the name though. Favorite is the rocket line though, and next in line is the static line from BB and then KMIII and then Tachyon.
