    Ban bamboo.

Has anybody been successful in containing bamboo? I have one custy who has a patch and they aren’t the best at managing it. I keep pushing for full removal scorched earth style.

    Tree man.

This is one of the most bizarre and cryptic threads I’ve read in a long time. Godspeed tree guy see you in the afterlife.

Offering additional services such as lawn mowing / landscaping

There is no way in hell I’d be cutting grass as an additional service to my tree service. Landscaping I’ll take on for the right client but I limit it to hardscaping and tree planting. Mowing is too much of a rat race for me.

    Lanyard snap attachment

More to grab on to isn’t a bad idea if you have hand issues.

    Energy absorber for rock climbing.

Or could you make an arrangement for using a climb line with more elongation.

    Energy absorber for rock climbing.

Any of you think the shock absorber might help in a work positioning lanyard system when you are expecting to get paddle balled? I’m trying to think if that’s a good idea or not.

Mounting a pulley for my moving rope system in a tree

I’d rethrow and set my line every time. It will only make you better. Yeah sure not as convenient but the tree is alive and not meant to have stuff left in it 24/7 and in the same spot. Just my $.02

    Topping, Pollarding, or what??

Looking at this tree I’d say cut it back to where they “pollarded” it before. The tree is already fooked so why not. Maybe use it as a case study.

tool/chainsaw lanyard attachment options while in a bucket truck?

Little lag time but its grabbing the right toggle at a crucial moment is difficult. With a spider you really have to pay attention to what’s going on and think of all the possible outcomes before committing to the cut. Just my personal observations.

    New TreeBuzz Ad Format???

I will type a post and hit reply but it takes me to a lift vendor instead. Kinda annoying.

tool/chainsaw lanyard attachment options while in a bucket truck?

IMO compact lifts are only made as strong as the need to be and no more. Kinda like building a house to the code required minimums.

tool/chainsaw lanyard attachment options while in a bucket truck?

Was the saw snatched or did the tree hit the lift?

tool/chainsaw lanyard attachment options while in a bucket truck?

I use a saw lanyard everyday in my lift. I know saw snatching is a potential but precise saw handling helps mitigate that potential. IMO

I attach mine to the chest D ring on my fall arrest harness.

Probably awesome in deep powder. Nice curves and all.

    Avant loader throttle?

I just had this issue with my mini. The bolt that was there I ended up breaking because the nut was seized onto the bolt so it couldn’t be tightened. Replaced the bolt of the same size and a metal lock nut, thirty hours no slipping of the throttle.
