That’s kinda what I’m getting at. If a plumber goes to that dude’s house it’s $150/hr and beyond a van, all he’s got is proof of education and training.
Based on the skillset and knowledge you worked hard to attain, if you went with another hand and it took 3 hours, $750 would be fair IMO. That...
Yesterday I got back into a hybrid Elm I’ve been trying hard to keep up with for a couple years now. I have a few results to share that might be helpful or encouraging to anyone fighting back the endless inclusions they form. I’ve seen far too many left alone after installation and suffer from...
Choose a side! :) I would likely cut out the left side, but I can’t see much of the upper right side. Sometimes the apical dominance of a shoot can be contrasted against another when determining which to retain. When I’m managing large shade trees with clustered interior growth, I often retain...
I agree that the right person could be fine without any app at all. The native suite of software from Apple os more rhan capable. If al I did was management, that’s all I’d use.
Copy that. Joist has been good for us, and also has a pared down version with enough function for a smaller outfit. I think many apps are geared towards larger companies but I find most of them offer far more than we need.
Forgive me…what’s CRM?
Essentially, the simpler your operation is based on personnel, equipment and types of jobs you do, the easier it is to manage everything. The more moving parts, the more variables and challenges there are to make longer term plans or know just how long your back log is...
We are still sort of a hybrid thing, where I use an app to write proposals and convert them to invoices, but we turn all approved estimates into a paper copy and file it in a physical folder to ease scheduling.
Speaking of scheduling, I really feel this is the most difficult part of running a...
That is 100% a Hoeflon C10. I might know who that is but would have to get into my contacts to get his name. To my knowledge, there’s still little more than a handful of those units in the States.
I had several experiences with Jamie over the years. Mostly at Yale factory events or comps.
He was a real generous guy, even when he opened up the entire room of “shorts” for the splicing workshop attendees to use for practice. They normally sell the shorts to companies that make dog leashes...
Were those NH Catalpas growing in a stand among other trees or preciously surrounded by other trees? Phototropic response is still such a dominant factor. With such a broad leaf, I reckon that coming up in a dense area might be main reason for them attaining the form you describe.
I grew up at...
Catalpas in our area tend to end up with limbs looking rather compromised on the top side, and much of it is undetectable from the ground. Lots of horizontal leads end up with long areas of exposed xylem with strong margins of callus tissue.
@southsoundtree , yes, Aaron has it right I believe. When I visited Paul, we really had a great time coming up with names for things. He had a way of actually leaning inward with one hand way forward on longer limbwalk returns. Lean. Lean on me. Who wrote that somg? Bill Withers. Then...
