    I believe that under normal forces this very unlikely to fail, but should Murphy rear his ugly head, think about one of those rings loading on the gate.

    Anyone ever use one of these?

    I bought one for multi pitch rock climbing. The double gate is far more intuitive than I thought it would be and it's great for keeping the belay station organized. I have yet to find a good easy to incorporate it into my work system. I do have a couple Grivel twin gate ovals and HMS carabiners...

    I I don't think this counts as splicing, but I made a this lanyard also. Sterling climb spec webbing, 1/4" bungee, SMC rap ring, polyester upholstery thread. Stitching done by hand then coated with SeamGrip. Did drop tests with 15 lb dumbell.
