What's the weirdest stuff you've found in trees?

I looked out my back window this morning and saw something orange in a tree... Took out the binoculars and thought it looked like a clementine, so of course I had to be sure. knocked it out with my throw line and sure enough it was a clementine. It was about 20' up a poplar against the trunk...

    Gear contribution

If I need standard type gear my boss will buy it for me if I ask. New hires are provided with basic gear. All the gear bought by the company is owned by the company. I just buy my own gear because I like to own my stuff...

Beginner to SRTWP - Looking for some advice

IT definitely can be tricky to see your throw line placement sometimes in conifers. I will usually try to get my throwing to shoot clear the the canopy then bring the weight back in toward the stem a bit. I have definitely had more then a few instances where I get up to my TIP and say "shit"...

    THT vs. Safebloc vs. Thundersling

I won a thundersling at arbtrek. While it is the only aerial friction device I have used it can be pretty great. I think one of the best parts about it is how many different friction settings it has depending on how, and how many times, you thread it. the biggest drawback to me is that the...

Very cool! Seems like it opens the door for a lot of innovations. In the video you didn't mention the effects on MA. Great work!

    Handsaw choices

First off, I'm a blade breaker... that being said, I find the zubat to be flimsy, not cheap, I just prefer a stiffer blade so that when it does jam it doesn't fold in half. I broke the tip off of a ARS on day 3 with it. I don't think there is anything wrong with being aggressive with a handsaw...

    The Super Stevedor Knot

Thanks for the video Richard. Are there any advantages, you know of, over a bowline or a bowline on a bight? looking at it I think it may have less strength loss?

    gear storage

I really want a new gear bag but find it so hard to justify the $ when the bag I have now 'works'... I'll probably justify it sooner or late as "it's for work, it makes money, right?"
