So I was going to get a zig zag but they have another recall so I’m thinking of going with another tool instead. I climb on 1/2” blue streak and 7/16” lava and go back and forth.
thanks for any help
Over rope build it’s more important to look at what it’s made of. It’s swl, mbs, heat rating, bend radius, stretch, splice we assume would be properly done for each. The properties of each rope type will be more important than hollow braid, stable braid, double braid, 3 strand, 12 strand, 16...
I hear you. It’s actually not for trees it’s for my old man. Separate situations all together I’ve just found luck asking about stuff on the buzz before so it was just a one off. Can’t hurt to post and ask.
I’ve been looking at tow behind back hoes for a couple different reasons. The ones I’ve seen local in Ontario on kijiji etc are sold by the time people reply to my messages. Where do you guys look for those? Harbour freight says no cross border shipping.
They’re $5,000 new at Princess Auto but...
I’ll try to get some pics when I have it set up.
Barrel has a garden tap threaded into the bottom of a 30 gallon (but any size is good I can get a 1,000L tank for $120 but I don’t have that demand yet).
The garden house goes from tank to the pressure washer just gravity fed and standing water...
A lot of guys switched from the munter to a figure 8 for that size of rigging but the munter is an ok tool in the tool box if you use it right. Guys used to take down trees every day with that. But that said, things improve and grow for a reason. That said a porti is simple and consistent every...
My setup is strictly based on pickup trucks.
When I started my dad gave me his old box trailer (9’x4.5’)not in the best shape so my first couple jobs paid to rebuild that. I bought the material and we (dad & I) did the welding, work, etc.
Next came a 9” bandit chipper I found on kijiji for a...
Hey guys and girls
I just picked up a Vermeer 630b. Needed a bit of work but it’s coming along. When I do up a new project like this I usually go get a new truck battery. Big, good cca, etc I’m not trying to cheap out with a smaller weak battery.
But when I was going to set it in I found a...
Portable wrap friction device. When the name is the description you become a household legendary name beyond the generations that know who made it. Those guys made a solid tool and basic name. They’ll both outlast those 2 guys. That’s there legacy.
I just took this from a city guideline. It’s usually just the first 2 columns. To me more times than not the drip line is a ridiculous measure. I did a job where all the trees were leaning over and right across the road. So my fence would’ve been the other side of the street and on the yard side...
Thanks to the guys on here I’m looking at a Vermeer 630B! Thanks.
He has said it’s been sitting and if he remembers there’s a hub issue in the head. Any of you ever deal with this? I don’t see it as a red flag as it’s an older model just like to know.
Wallenstien doesn’t make big chippers anymore they tried it but then got out of it after a few years. There very first 12” originally needed a few improvements but they sorted that out. There midsized range was more popular.
Where would you look if you wanted a cheap gasser tow behind stump grinder like an old 630A or similar?
Even if it’s a bit of a project to get back to good working order.
Thanks
I found a couple on CL that I’d jump at but they’re in the US and I’m in Ontario so I’m not essential to cross the border to go check them out.
You guys have some good deals down there
