Where would you look if you wanted a cheap gasser tow behind stump grinder like an old 630A or similar?
Even if it’s a bit of a project to get back to good working order.

Thanks

Ever used SearchTempest?
It’ll search all Craigslist sites within whatever distance you want. Handy for odd machines like that where you might go years without seeing one listed locally.

Thanks to the guys on here I’m looking at a Vermeer 630B! Thanks.
He has said it’s been sitting and if he remembers there’s a hub issue in the head. Any of you ever deal with this? I don’t see it as a red flag as it’s an older model just like to know.

Hey guys and girls

I just picked up a Vermeer 630b. Needed a bit of work but it’s coming along. When I do up a new project like this I usually go get a new truck battery. Big, good cca, etc I’m not trying to cheap out with a smaller weak battery.

But when I was going to set it in I found a problem. The cubby that holds the battery was too small. It almost looks like the brackets on the floor would hold a small car battery or a lawn mower kinda size battery.

Does anybody have any knowledge on the way to go here?
