I always want a diesel chipper. It’s best to buy a 2000-2013 diesel tier 2-3. Even if you have to repower it its way better than a gas. If you’re just a pruner and chipping branches than fine but constantly chipping 18-19” wood needs a diesel.
I have a 94 international 4900 with 7,000 original miles. It’s a heavy 33,000 factory truck with full double frame front to back. I want to put a terex or altec on it but they would not put a new unit on it saying it would not be heavy enough?
That’s a badass machine. You guys looking to buy a new gas chipper should buy this machine with the awesome Deere tier 1 diesel. It probably eliminates 90% of tree guys cause of the class A towing rating but that’s the cats meow. I should buy it but I’d have to get most of my guys to get a class...
A buddy of mine has a 1890 he’s gonna be selling. I think it’s a 1998-2001. new Cummins 4 cylinder 800-1,000 hours ago. Used everyday. No winch. Great chipping machine. He ordered a new 18xp which will be arriving end of December. I believe he’s asking $28,000.
That officer is wrong. Only time you need a class a is when trailer is over 10,000.is your trailer registered for 10,000 and over or just under. If you were over then the officer was correct but give a working man a damn break. Geez
We all get so busy so $500 is well worth it. Unless you have a full time mechanic who cleans it out everyday and end of work or before each day.We know the answer to that. Clean air is most important to either gas or diesel but especially to diesel.
