    Revolution wheel vs green teeth

Looking for a comparison between the revolution wheel vs a wheel with a full set of green teeth (20 teeth). Has anyone here had user experience with both? I switched to green teeth 900s about 15 years ago. They are great compared to those old shark teeth. Looking into a new machine so I am...

My crew is going to be working on a maple tree inBuffalo and it has poison ivy or poison oak right up all the way 30 feet. what should we do before w

Unless someone in the crew is highly allergic to poison ivy, I wouldn’t sweat it too much. I’d be most concerned about treating my clothing afterwards since household members can get it indirectly…and they might complain

    CMC fatality

That is interesting. I was under the impression that for every foot an object falls, it gains a unit of its own weight plus one. So a 25 lb log should have a force of 50 lbs… 300 lbs doesn’t sound right to me but maybe I am misunderstanding something here

I think so. CMC should be sending their clients brand new booms (re-engineered).

    CMC fatality

CMC and all access point the blame on the operators. Obviously their booms are not engineered properly (under built). What pisses me off is that I met with the owner of all access years ago (Lenny). He claimed that the CMCs are the most “rugged” compared to the other manufacturers. In an add in...

Biggest tree lie you’ve heard (or said?!)

When the neighbors tree guy tells my client that her oak is dying and should come down. (This particular oak happens to be blocking the neighbor’s view of the ocean). Truth-The oak is not dying. Actually it’s in excellent condition. 15 year later it’s still in excellent condition!

    Tracked Lift 72' ... thoughts?

I think that those little vibrating diesels cause the hydraulic fittings to come loose on a lot of lifts.

    Husqvarna X-Cut

These chains suck bad. I purchased a few loops for my 18” and a few loops for my 24” saws. It’s all that my local dealer had in stock. They don’t cut right after very little use (no abuse). I have been using Oregon, Husqvarna and Stihl chains for almost 30 years and have never had such poor...

    ISO Echo 2511

I don’t like the Stihl double raker “safety chain” either…it doesn’t cut right after a couple sharpenings. That’s good news about the Panther chain

It sucks. We tried the stock bar and chain for about a month. Switched over to the 1/4 pitch and haven’t looked back. Like night and day.
