    200t tune

Chainsaw tachometer is a cheap and easy way to ensure your carb is tuned properly. Usually the limiters are removed following a muffler mod or cylinder porting to properly tune the carb after mods. Since they are already gone getting your muffler modded is a good, cheap and easy way to squeeze a...

    Climbing Ergonomics

That seems like a lot of wraps...one pirce of advice to get away with less wraps is to twist the eyes of your hitch cord. Rotating the eyes of the hitchcord in towards the rope has helped me ditch a wrap and make tending, ascending and rapping much better on my wrench...even on the occasional...

    SRT for small-medium trees?

Another option that I have been using fairly regularly as of late is to ascend upon a base tie then select the best possible spot for a canopy anchor. You now get the best of both worlds...no isloating your initial throw and an access line already in the tree

    Ninja? What's up with that?

As I understand it, the Ninja/Jet step was a collaboration between Notch and Harken. Same same

    Shorted on rope

Maybe worth mentioning - to tie the F8K three or four feet above the end of the rope, not right at the end - that way you maybe have something to stand on to get up the rope again, say with a foot ascender, if you've hit the knot! Cheers all. Very valid point

That sounds expensive...lol. but I would probably buy it

Topped then neglected, now I need to climb it.

I would suggest hiring or contracting a lift...Silver Maples can be challenging at times with no central tie ins and bad rope angles. Either get a lift or find a very reputable contract climber in your area. You can handle the logistics and ground work and he can handle the climbing and rigging...

Husqvarna Battery blower. Anyone using it?

I have the husky battery pole saw...it is fantastic. I went into my (former) dealer and he was closing shop. Already had the t536 so thought I would pick up the battery hedge trimmer for an upcoming job. When I got there he said if you buy the trimmer and pole saw he would give me them both for...

Thoughts on Minimum Pricing for Small Jobs

If only at the bar you got as many offers to "dance" while on a date...lol. Somehow a climber with a saw in a tree always brings the neighbors out with the "well, since your up there..."

    Brush trailers

Just looked this up. Seems like a pretty sweet, compact, in-expensive solution. Sometimes in tight streets in the city it can be a pita to get our 12" chipper with trucks and trailers parked. Care to share a pic of the setup?

Good eye....it indeed is a capstan that has been looped into the hydrolic system...the previous owner was a industrious fellow and he had it rigged up. I must admit that ot works incredibly well and has saved us from a bunch of dragging and arbor trolleying
