Somewhere on this thread there is a photo showing the two options for tying stopper knots that work with the HH.
I can't find them again so if someone knows where they are or could post them again here I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Using the HH as the upper ascender in a rope walker setup works really well. Most rope walker systems incorporate 3 ascenders. The middle position is there not only to capture progress but to take the strain off of your arms in maintaining an upright body position.

A few guys here in Britain have been using LJ and SJ under their RW and they seem to like it.
There's a bit of info in this thread but mostly it's a RW & HC thread, and it's a big thread:

It's the lack of a spiral that stopped me getting one. I got the Stein instead because it has the spiral, although it's life will probably be a fifth of the DMM.

My 4yr old thinks I play with toys.
Wife watches tv all evening and says I don't pay her enough attention!
Which is the correct statement?
Thanks Dave
I agree with you about the need for RADS. When I first got a RW in March I used it for about the first eight climbs, I've probably used it eight times since.
I have tried it twice with the HH just to see how it worked a and it didn't work at all. The Steel karab wouldn't release...
Hi TonyK. So you find a use for both.
I have worried that the Futura wouldn't work well on a RADS set up but then thought I could just put a Prussik loop and DMM Revolver on the rope for a RADS.
I guess I'll have to get one, in February.
Thanks for this thread. I think I've made up my mind to get one but I need to be sure as I am eternally guilty of spontaneous spending and some bad decisions.
Also, my Petzl is less than a year old and I hate seeing gear sitting on the shelf.
Also, I have to buy the new Protos helmet next week...

I am still thinking I would like it if there were a way to use an eye to eye (or tied) instead of the stopper knots with the HH. At least on one end.
Would be so much quicker getting off, for example.
Got to be some simple solution here.

I've been on a HH for 1.5 months now and have found it a real development process, more so than when I started SRWP with a RW.
I'm not thick, I've just found the adjustability of the HH amazing and I feel a lot more confident with it than I did with my ZK1. (I'm not knocking the RW, the HH just...
I also tie the hitch as tight as possible and after a couple of bounces it's working well.
I have found that the tiniest variation on the hitch cord length makes all the difference, far more so than any other hitch based system I've ever used.
On Friday I experimented by adjusting the stopper...

Hi guys. I've been using a ZK1 since February and got a HH two weeks ago. I'm loving it and I'm sure it suits my style best but I'm still struggling slightly in two areas advancing the HH up the rope.
1: While I'm on the Pantin using the sit/stand for short ascents.
Do you grab the Oxan under...
