    Lockjack mods?

I climbed on a Lockjack for over 8yrs and loved it. I then modified it by getting a Hitch Hiker and climbing SRWP for ever more! Sorry, I realise that's no help at all!:bananahappy:

    Powers spur scender

I love a foot ascender but don't like the new Pantin as much as the old one. I got a CT last week and it is better than the new Pantin in every way. Plus, the cam lock thingy is much easier to use than I expected. Love it!

RopeTek Sidewinder - Retractable Lanyard System

Re: RopeTek Sidewinder - Retractable lanyard I've been using mine for a few months now and it's brilliant. I'd never go back and it's certainly strong enough. Good job Ropetek.

The Stein Arb Trolley is probably the best money I ever spent.

    Ropearmour

I gott a RopeKnight a couple of months ago and I've got to say it really is as good as Thomas says. It flies straighter than a bag or Highball but the best thing is that it doesn't get stuck, at all. Ok, mine got stuck once but only because it went over a small branch and then twisted itself...

    Double lanyard anyone?

The Sidewinder from Ropetek will solve all your Lanyard problems. I've been using one for a while now and it is brilliant.

    Hitch hiker cammimg on carabiner?

I have convinced myself that technique was the issue but I have also gently rubbed down the area to make it smooth although I have not polished it. No more problems though. I guess it wasn't technique.

    Hitch hiker cammimg on carabiner?

On the basis that we are talking about the HH sticking when trying to ascend, I too have had this problem. PCTREE suggested I look at the area of contact between the HH and the Oxan biner. There was indeed a slight bump which I have smoothed off but it didn't make any difference. I have since...

HitchHIker DRT Use and Basic Function

Yo-Yo Man Why not attach the biner onto the Pinto becket instead of the ring? That way, the standing side of your rope will be out of the way.

    Choked TIP Ideas, Questions

I also choke up on my TIP. I determine the length of the retrieval side of the rope and put an Alpine Butterfly in it. I then attach a 10mm oval Mallion to the Butterfly then put the work side of my rope into the Mallion. I make sure that the closure on the Mallion is facing away from the tree...

    The Hitch Hiker

[ QUOTE ] Dave, but I'd hate to see that bushing roll on descent and put the eye tab in a position to compromise the climb line. I [/ QUOTE ] That's exactly what I was just thinking. Also. when in descent, the clip will roll into the HH so is it then difficult to get it back out to clip...

    The Hitch Hiker

It's a very good you make Yoyoman and your contribution is very welcome, it's something that I think we are all collectively working on. A U bolt would work by virtue of it's rigidity. Of course, threading it onto the Oxan would be impossible so the solution must be something as rigid as...

    The Hitch Hiker

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] As much as I like the HH for srt, I really don't understand why a couple people say they think the HH is the ideal lanyard adjuster. I have tried it for that out of curiousity, but I don't see where it adds anything to a nice compact hitch cord with some sort of take up...
