Nitrile Palm Goves

They do run small, like tom mentioned. I'm usually a L, but wear XL. The hitch issue is still present, but I find that they are less prone than the blue atlas to severe shredding. Throw them in the compost pit when done.

haha I actually take a couple chlorophyll caps in the morning now and I must say I'm smelling better and feeling greener.

Ian, I'm gonna try some of the bamboo gloves too. Thanks for the heads up that they run small too guys. The large atlas gloves are a tad too short in the fingers for me, but the xl's are way too big. Maybe the bamboo's will be just right.

I found a pair of HexArmor gloves for 65.00. Found them online for 10.00 less, Last time I cut myself with silky, 2-3-4 years ago, number of pairs of gloves bought in that time....roughly 20-30 pairs. I think Ill stick with what I use already.
Dakota and Watsons for 20.00 a pair work just fine.
Im pretty careful with the silky saw, cutting yourself with a handsaw is sheer stupidity, easiest way to avoid it is just to not do it.
Be a little more careful with that razor sharp saw in your hand, it pays dividends huge.
HexArmor too hot and too freaking expensive, they look pretty tho.

Loving the green gloves. Put them to the test yesterday with eight hours of poison ivy vine ripping. Definitely hard on the gloves, and got some holes by the end of the day, but that was their third day. They are definitely as good as the atlas blues, not sure about longer-lastIng, but I feel better about getting rid of the old pair now. My large atlas is bigger than this large, to be sure, but I'm actually getting used to the smaller size.

Not sure what size to order, last time I looked they were out of xl. Maybe Luke will start carrying them.

So after some firm experimentation....I have found these beauties. Best gloves I have used....EVER!!! Lightweight materials for minimal hand funk, and the latex coating is virtually indestructible in comparison to the dozens of other models I have tried. Still on the same pair after 2 weeks with almost no ripping/tearing of palm coating even when getting caught in my friction hitch.

What happened to cutting the finger tips off of your gloves? Doesn't that solve the knot-tying/cell phone-dialing problem? Doesn't do anything for the stank though.

I'll have to give the Wonder Grips and Bamboos a try.

When I was in MN I'd always wear some thin synthetic glove liners so I never had bare skin in the cold. For many years I'd snip the tips of the thumb and forefinger so that I had dexterity. This meant that my finger tips would sometimes get cold.

Then...someone shared a head-slapper-brilliant solution.

Make a vertical slit in the finger tips so that you can poke your finger tip out when you need to. The rest of the time they're inside being protected.

For a second there I thought for sure you were going to say, move the heck out of MN, it's too cold there!
Good idea though, plus you still protect your manicured nails.

The Wonder Grips I have no issue tying knots with at all compared to the Atlas Blues. And the material in the back is crazy thin...very breathable. Well worth $4 a pair! I'm gonna buy a case.
