As far as I know the pdf version from educated climber is identical to the book. Patrick went through a lot of headaches to make it happen. I doubt he skipped anything. This book is great. I was twenty years in when I got my copy and I picked up a ton of little tid bits.

I doubt they got it from Stihl. No logos on the bar or side plate. I’m tempted to get one just to mess with you at some point but I really don’t like supporting companies that do that kind of stuff
This is common for a lot of things. Keeps pricing even across the board. Prices are set by the manufacturer and you make this much profit. Now the manufacturer might give you a discount if you buy X amount to increase your profit margin. Same as buying a chainsaw from a dealer.
