Lost a large removal job to a landscaper... Decided to say something.

You write better than i can even think to. Myself, it happens so often id rather spend my time taking a nap or playing in my yard. Curious how both parties respond.

    Buying used vs. new equipment

Buying good used stuff is the best choice buying used. Ive lost one brake line on usedequipment for the business in the last 7-8 yrs. My new stuff seems to be more hassle than the used stuff, to be honest. Wiring issues, shoddy welds, hydro leaks, CEL lights, etc. Choose used eauipment...

Bandit 1390 Good news Bad news???

Somethings not right. Mines never come close to plugging. Dull or sharp.

When do you know it's time??

Ive seen that truck up close. Not bad but heavy and only 55 i think. Dont rush keep looking imo. I waited a year for mine. One owner, one operator. The wait has paid off in no break downs and pristine condition. Winters around the corner and 2wd or 4wd buckets don't jump snow piles.

When do you know it's time??

Yes but you loose all that space out back. I have a 60' rm. many of times the bumper is at the tree trunk.

When do you know it's time??

That rear mount mine as well be a forestry mount. The turret is about the same ways away from the back as a forestry unit is from the front.

When do you know it's time??

Forestry trucks are usually x utility too. Rode hard and put away wet. Ive heard they pop real good wheelies.

    Mini Skids

In the passanger seat! Typically a trip back is nessesary to haul the log trailer and grab logs, so it would go in the bed there again for the ride home. Occasionally a trip back is nessessary. Beats another truck and usually allows you to collect the check. Chips dump local so we are talking...

    Mini Skids

Maybe get better operators? Ive never had a complaint, or have had to fix lawn damage in seven years operating a mini skid. Trailers are not nessesary, in seven years my two minis have been on a trailer a total of a less than a dozen times. Fuel...diesel burns about $2 an hour at full throttle...

When do you know it's time??

Will a bucket truck make you more money? Why do you need one? Buying its easy. Registration, needing a cdl, drug test program, truck inspections, tires. I dont regret mine, but ive prob used it only 12 times this year. 50k would look better in my bank than in the backyard!
