    I was at the Bronx Zoo yesterday and was watching a quick clip of a researcher spiking up a tree in the jungle. I was a little surprised they weren't climbing more modern techniques like SRT, Unless this was old footage. I only caught a little bit of it as we were on our way out.

    I learned the old school way with the taught line hitch , moved to split tails and then jumped to SRT in 2009 when my wife and i climbed the old growth dug firs in Oregon. I still use some of my old techniques when they are best suited!
