    No problems with 1/2 inch ropes with eyes going through leather cambium savers here. I just use a bit larger rings with eye splices as well.

    Big bowline with rubber band here. Then I learned how to splice. Then the HH made me go SRT.

    Double-Tied when Spurring Conifers

    HH with a steel biner on spliced end of climb line. Flip both that and lanyard at same time when spiking up. Suitable stub will hold the HH line as a DdRT life line when cutting. No stub, choke SRT below lanyard. Easy passing limbs if needed with the HH as a lanyard.
