Sirius 16mm, 3 strand safety blue, rope bucket, all TofuBerger

Hey Matias, Ye, it's a pretty dumb sequence of events for sure... I'll verify for you, but each one is either 150 or 200, not just a wee piece.

Sirius 16mm, 3 strand safety blue, rope bucket, all TofuBerger

I am moving on from these lines due to no fault of their own. Extremely lightly used, in fact almost no use. I bought them because I used to work for NATS and TF was a rope partner and I needed to have TF products when we did any photo or video shoots, and because TF didn't supply kit upon...

    What the bananas

Moss, I think you'd like the zigzag as well as any other mechanical hitch system because it feels most like rope on rope in my opinion. A lot depends on where and how one climbs. Here in the upper midwest we have trees that tend towards being as broad as they are tall, and a more dense than...

I can second the Hyperclimb recommendation. An overall great for climbing rope no matter your chosen method.

    False crotch pulley recommendations

PINTO. The rated becket allows for a quick and dirty 3:1 mechanical advantage on yourself, which is great in certain situations.

    What the bananas

I agree. Knowing the way Buckingham manufactures kit, it'll be burly enough that climbers will be experimenting with it as an in tree rigging device.

    Samson Voyager color?

Vortex is larger diameter and has a softer, some say squishy, feel. Voyager is a really nice line for SRS and MRS if you change up methods often. Voyager is more like Yale's Blue Moon products. Vortex, when it's nicely broken in, has a cover that fuzzes up like an old sweater. Vortex is nice...

    Climbing Ensemble Cost

Hmm, I've heard around 5K from many climbers over the years... I think the question is misleading because on any *one* climb, probably 1000-2500 worth of gear, but if someone stole the work van, fully stocked....many, many thousands. It's a great question though and one your insurance provider...

Crane Sling Preferences on endless loops or webbing for bigger stuff

Thank you everyone. Lots of great information and I will use it all. This is my first crane job where I will be able, as second climber, to do cutting. I've been on lots of crane assisted removals, on the ground though. Working with a crane experienced climber, so really looking forward to it!

Crane Sling Preferences on endless loops or webbing for bigger stuff

What length do you recommend? I've got some MC crane slings, so although these would be /could be used for leads, I'm mostly looking to fill the gap for bigger wood.
