actually on bigger removals is the only time i'm on a rope guide. i usually a natural crotcher. I guess i just have to give it time. I do like the extra wrap on the VT.
Personally, I think lava is a mm. smaller than P.I., and P.I. would stay rounder/harder., knot control maybe a slight...
Does anyone that owns a lava know if this rope gets a nice fuzzy grip over time and natural crotches?
I climbed on someone elses and figured it was slippery cuz he always used a rope guide. I bought mine thinkin i'd have it fuzzed up in no time, but it still feels like its right out of the...
Awesome to see that we have a lot of good help coming out.
I heard through the grapevine that we might not even get 20 competitors though. I signed up last week and I was the only one so far.
Who's competing in IL from the buzz? Or any regulars not doing it this year?
Israel, maybe you...
Casey, in your rescue, didn't you throw in a redirect while you were positioned kind of on the underside of the limb? I was impressed by that. Your rescue was solid.
I didn't know Tr33something was 'Casey', but I remember your rescue.
Zac, your rescue wasn't crappy dude! Didn't you time out at like 5:01? If you would have unclipped in time, that event wouldn't have kept you out of the Masters. Not on my score sheet anyway.
ps it was nice meeting you there

My thinking was you don't have to own a lot of expensive fancy gear ( though it might work a little better) to be safe. Anybody could set this up. I don't have a 200' rope or a gri gri.

I was trying to achieve a single rope ELS-friendly system that a climber would actually use and not slow them down due to being too complicated and/or time consuming to set up when a great attribute of SRT is simplicity.

I came up with that too. Mine was simpler...
I've been to a few ITCC's, and I've been in a competition before.
Anyone can win the Master's Challenge. Just getting into the final four at the International is impressive, but you could win the Master's Challenge 7 times and that still probably won't make you better than Mark.
That's just...
I'm proud to say I worked for Tod Kramer for a while and they were like a well oiled machine. The fleet was huge. The sales team was always there early figuring out what guys were taking what. They were on top of it. And There was little, if any, bickering among foreman. Quite a pleasant...

Blaze is no good. I climbed on it for a year+ and it was OK compared to my PI. I've only heard that lava/tachyon only last so long before you have to replace it. I'd try fly/PI/velocity. I'll be calling you in a day or so to tell you why buddy if you haven't already heard the news...
