WI Tree Climbing Competition 2009

with joe's footlocking ability few of us stand a chance of getting many points. I will be a guest climber this year. No pressure, just good times then some cold beer!!!!!!!!!!!! Is the WAA going to test joe for preformance enhancing drugs?

he only won by two points...he almost lost and if there was a masters I bet he would have

The lineup is as follows (I'm pretty sure, not 100%):

Joe House
Aaron Schauer
Mike Stanonik

I took first in throwline completely by accident. Other than that, decent footlock and speed climb, crappy work climb and rescue.

There was 2 inches of rain the night before and morning of, kind of like climbing a banana peel. That's my excuse anyway!

Casey (Tr33Climb3r) had a great day, he's better than me.

Watch out next year though... I'm going to win a trip to Australia!

Good to meet some respectable people from Minnesota for a change! Rob and the long haired guy, who's name I forgot) were great!

Zac, I was very impressed with your footlock... you need to give your self more credit. As for your work climb, I still cant understand "how the lightest guy here" can ring the buzzer on the limb walk. Good job.

Why no masters? Weather?

we didnt really get started till 11-12 in the afternoon because of the rain...and by the time we got all done it was pushing 5-6 maybe and didn't want a masters climber finishing in the dark...

zac your footlock was awesome...I had a bad footlock haha should have put my own rope in....that rope was slick and it didn't help with me standing in wet grass right before

and the work climb...yea greasy bark not fun

aerial rescue got the dummy down and unclipped all with in the time limit which was my goal

and zac don't cut yourself short man...you did really well

Zac, your rescue wasn't crappy dude! Didn't you time out at like 5:01? If you would have unclipped in time, that event wouldn't have kept you out of the Masters. Not on my score sheet anyway.

ps it was nice meeting you there
