http://en.petzl.com/ProduitsServices/B17_ASCENSBAS_B17504-H.pdf is a working link to the document.
It obviously depicts the breaking strength of the material at the various holes when force is applied to them in the directions shown.
I don't know what to say beyond that. Good points have been...
This should be a trivial task and if you weren't saddled by Windows it would be :)
Fetch the following stuff:
findutils-4.2.20-2.exe
grep-2.5.1a.exe
or grep.zip
The first has a couple of utilities for finding files and optionally working with them, the second is a utility for pulling strings...
Passing the liability "buck" anywhere away from themselves. Even though the instrument is clearly designed for proper one-handed use they have to cover their butts legally because nobody takes responsibility for their own actions anymore (nor accept that accidents sometimes just happen).

Anyone know why I cant produce a URL link directly to Sherrills Treetips page on its Rec treeclimbing section?
It does not seem to work, I think i have tried and failed before with the sherrill site to do this.

You'd have to use HTML code to produce a FORM with which to...

Flash does need a plugin, ... web browsers. The 1st 6 or so knot animations are from the newer Flash8; so non-mainstream browsers; or those without newest plugin may have some trouble seeing them.

I've got a couple of software packages which play flash content separate...
A little more sensitive to that? As I understand it, you must unweight it and use two hands to adjust. The Grillon does indeed adjust out smoothly under load; under what conditions did you experience it "releasing the 'switch'"?
Yes, it makes sense and is sometimes handy. Sherrills has a new(?) device in their catalog which will mechanically grab in either direction and it looks promising, but I really, really like my Grillon...
Also static.
I've always said "footlock the tail" too, but technically, everything below you would be the tail no matter the configuration above. So I like the "dynamic" "static" terms and will use them henceforth.

Somebody please tell me how to post multiple pics!

Easy. Attach a zip file containing however many you want, with a legend in the body of your post.
Haven't heard from you yet, Mark. They probably can devote more time to serving your needs than I can at the moment, but I have a few logistical ideas that would improve things greatly. Maybe we can work together to implement them or maybe my level of attention would be more than sufficient...

Do trees physically interfere with the signal or do they filter it? Similar to foliage filtering red and blue from the light spectrum.

The signal is electromagnetic radiation. Visible light is electromagnetic radiation, too, just at a different frequency. Think of the...
The Grillon is not spring loaded and does not lose grip with loss of tension. I haven't used a Cinch but near as I can tell (near as I can remember from last time I looked at one) it functions the same as the Grillon. I love my Grillon and would replace it with the same in a heartbeat if the...
No, not them. Just their previous mayor (my sister) and several long-time prominent businessmen. I've been there a few times, some of them for extended periods. Every time (driving) I could just imagine how the folks getting there by wagon/horseback back in the day would be thinking "heck...
The caption is what drew my attention to the photo in the first place. I almost think it's better to have that photo pointing out what's wrong than to have one that's "right" and say nothing.
There's also a few good links at the bottom of the article.
