+1 on @Reach ’s suggestion on Atlas. I used it almost every day at the company I was with and loved it. I’ve never used Kraken either. Right now I am using 1/2” Hawkeye and like it. I’m not taking big pieces though. When I need to get another bull line I’ll most likely pony up the cash for 9/16”...
I hear you! The AZTEC looks awesome but the small diameter of the cordage is what gave me pause. Thanks for your thoughts. I agree about buying pulleys to work with what I have.
What do you use for a 5:1 MA if you don’t mind me asking?
Howdy folks. My uncle wants me to clean up a fence line on his farm and is willing to pay for gear to get the job done as well as pay me for my time. Kinda cool of him to do that. I don’t want to waste his money so thought I’d tap the hive mind as to MA kits. Any you like? Any you hate? Buy...
I’ve used both saws and like the lightness of the 462. A buddy said it was night and day different in the tree with the 462 being lighter.
I have a 461 and if it was stolen would buy another one. A family member is a Stihl dealer and he recommended staying away from the M-tronic if possible.
Second your thoughts on the Buzz. I have learned so much lurking and reading on here. It was nice to meet a couple of buzzers IRL at Expo this week. Great community here in the arb world. And @Alabama_Woodsman seriously can’t go wrong with a used Treemo. If @swingdude likes it I would trust him...
I agree with all that has been said regarding rock climbing harnesses and tree saddles. I am a rock climber as well and cannot imagine climbing a tree in my rock harness. Access sure but hanging in the canopy and moving around I would miss the D’s on my Treemotion S. Light.
Speaking of which: I...
@evo so sorry to hear about your wife’s battle. I went through something similar with my wife a few years ago and can totally relate to trying to work, care for her, and care for kids. One of the darkest times of my life. Money is crazy tight right now but you and yours will be in our thoughts...
My family and just got an AirBnB that’s 3.5 miles from the Expo. We’ve used AirBnB a few times and have had very positive experiences. We paid about 79.00/night.
I wear these spurs and have not had blisters lime the poster showed. I am kinda short though. What type of foot straps are you running? The foot straps that comes with these spurs are kinda junky. The left strap delaminated after a month of use. Could a loose foot strap cause the pad to rub?
I am new to this industry and have read a couple of responses and threads about vertical speed lines. Would you care to share your favorite setup? I’m not climbing your monsters as I am in SW Virginia but think I could put it to use. . . Thanks!
I found a ‘97 Dodge 3500 dually with 12 valve Cummins and 89,000 original miles. My dad saw pics and it looks clean and he said little to no rust. He is going to look at it tomorrow. Guy wants 9,995.
Anybody driven a 97 Dodge? I know it will not get as good traction in the snow as it is a...
Hmmm. Tempting offer. I’m assuming the 125.00 fee covers the payment to your cousin’s brother’s father-in-law’s nephew who will absolutely have his medicine license restored “soon”?
Yep. Puttin’ that piece of kit on my saving up for list. I need to dig around and see if there is anything I don’t need and could sell. . . A kidney maybe? I know I put that wrote that number down! What is the country code for China again?
Thanks! That is what I am doing I reckon. At this point I think @Joeybagodonuts had a good point of making the lateral move to a larger truck so that I can be more efficient later. That makes sense. If I had the cash I would get the larger truck and dump trailer at the same time. Since I don’t...
