Looking for a used dump trailer

Thanks @colby. I appreciate the thoughts. Right now I also have to deal with only having a used 1/2 ton Tundra to haul the trailer with. I hear you about the down time and “new guy” mistakes. Good thoughts. I don’t want to burn up my truck by hauling a trailer that is to heavy for it. I am...

Looking for a used dump trailer

Good thoughts. I had not thought about having to buy new tires right away. Our local United Rental has a 2014 Bri-Mar for 4,200. Pics looked good but after hearing from ya’ll kinda leery about buying a used one.

Looking for a used dump trailer

Thanks Birdyman! I’ll check that dealer out. I’m going to Nashville in October with my oldest daughter for a concert so we can drop by their place on the way.

How high can you throw ball?

Nothing like coming home, taking your boots off and having to answer the question “Daddy, why do you only have one sock?” in a appropriate way for a small girl child.

Looking for a used dump trailer

Thanks for the info. Forgive a newbie question but what are the options besides powder coating? My county salts the one main road out the wazoo so anything to cut down on that would be ideal.

Looking for a used dump trailer

Thanks! I’ll do that. I’ve used autotempest.com to search CL but did not target FL or TX hurricane zones. I’ll do that after my girls are in bed.

Looking for a used dump trailer

Howdy folks! So I need to buy a dump trailer and need to get a used one. I’ll be using a 2000 Tundra to haul it with a 2 5/16 ball. I am way out in the woods of SW Virginia but will drive for the right trailer. I’ve seen prices from 8k to 2k. Any brands to look for/stay away from? I’ve heard...

    Hemi vs. Cummings

I have never personally owned a diesel truck but my uncle hauls horses for a living and has owned them all. He said he will only buy a Cummins engine. His main trucks are Dodge 3500 dually’s and he puts 400K plus miles on those bad boys and trades em in for a new one. He rides em hard too.

    Saluting branches 2019

We had a good day at the Phoebus Addition to the Hampton National Cemetery. My dad is a disabled USAF vet and we had the opportunity to see Langley AFB yesterday before work. We worked with some amazing folks from Phillips Tree Care, True Timber, City of Norfolk, ODU, and Adaptable Aerial...

    Newbie splicing question

I picked up the last 200’ hank of Calamine Sherrill had in stock and LOVE it. I see why Yale 11.7’s are so well liked. Sherrill did an outstanding job in their customer service department. Very impressive.

    Rigging gear

Cool! Thanks! I’ve been wanting one for awhile and the past two jobs really could have used one.

    Rigging gear

Thanks for the advice folks. I got a Notch Porty and pocket sling, medium Notch ring sling and 200’ of Samson Arbormaster in the Hawkeye color for light rigging. The job went super smooth. Got a new job coming up and thinking about a DMM Captain Hook to help move through the tree. Any tips on...

    First order of business

Good thoughts. I’m trying to save up for equipment as well and decided on the dump trailer route. Which brand/size did you get? What did you haul it with? I priced a 14’ Felling trailer with a stationary platform and the MSRP was 20k. Little too rich for me right now. I think there is a kinda...

    Beginner climbing gear?

I’ve only tried the Sonetics muffs and the 3M ones. I did a quick inter webs search on MSA muffs and not sure what I am looking for. Where did you get yours Swing? Also, to derail the thread just a bit, opinions on comms? Sena? Sonetics? Something else?

    Beginner climbing gear?

I’ve only worn a Kask and found it to be very comfortable. I got my oldest daughter a Super Plasma when she started helping me in the ground and she wears it all day and says it is comfy. It adjusts well.
