I’m not saying I can’t file my saw I can but I always feel there’s room for improvement. I don’t have any pics right now I’m at work and have been crazy busy. Been meaning to chain my gas line on my ms250 guess I’m going to have to pick it up and take it home and do it.
But back to sharpening...
It’s probably already been said but contracting for a company and getting setup with the greenest person there. And that’s your ropper for the day. SMH

Looks good.. I’m trying to get there. I got good with 12 strand tenex. Now I’m working on 16 strands and 24 strands.
Mainly tachyon ash because I have a short unused hank.
Also working on 16 strand arbor master and Hawkeye

Yeah your right I’m not saying it doesn’t work great.. it was just something I wasn’t used too. I haven’t used a lot of rental equipment. And if I did it would be for clean up.

Yeah great idea..I'm so green I never really thought how much different they could be. My saw place expanded a lot this year. So yeah I think I have a place where I could do that, along with saddles they finally have a good selection of saddles. Didn't see the spurs they moved everything around
LMAO well kinda... But no it's a hh2 with a few tweaks to make it a little smaller and lighter. I should have it sometime this week then I'll throw it on a rope and get a good pic. Wish I had my old hh2 to show the difference
I have a little bit of experience doing this and 9/10 times no it wasn’t to bad to until after and I would even loosen it up and slide it down to use multiple times like this

I still need to find a good knee and foot accender.. I’ve just been spending to much money lately on gear and getting into splicing very expensive hobby. But next year I’ll be in the look out for a good deal on some

I like using dual systems to.. weather it’s a long lanyard srt/ mrs don’t matter to me whatever the job calls for. I like to feel comfortable in a tree the more comfortable I feel I think the more progress I make/ get done.

I still need a foot and knee acender to have what I need to try srt for real.
I’ve used multiple srt devices like rope runner pro, rope wrench,HH2 and right now I’m waiting on a modified version on the HH2 it smaller in every way lighter . But still also bomb proof.
I have only used the...
This is something I’ve always been curious about and wanted to try.. I’ve just also been told not to so I have enough rope in the tree to bail out in case of emergency.
But I could if I’m doing a 20-30ft climb/Trimb I guess I could try to them as long as I’m using at least 150ft rope. Sounds...
