    I like the "stay small and keep it all" motto. Especially right now. Everything is paid for. Truck, chipper, mini, etc. Our market sucks for a few months in the winter and right now everyone's market sucks. I sleep like a baby in February. I can't imagine having payments on everything right now...

    The 620 reminds me alot of the old 371/372. Feels a bit torquier than the 562, but also a fuzz heavier. Great option for the $$$

    I've got a ported 550 which kicks ass with a 20", although the dogs do suck. Mostly I go to a 562 with the wrap and a 24" after a top handle, seems like a bit more capacity without a huge jump in weight. The xpw has some good dogs from the factory, imo.

    Generally our clients can't ID a tree in general, it's helpful to have another worker mediate. If I was working alone I might give them the crane headset, although I could see that driving a man crazy.

    Good thread here. We do alot of view work, it's really tough to price. Most situations I really push the hourly rate, with a ballpark or a cap if needed by the homeowner. "New" views I basically won't bid because they're so subjective. You almost always end up with one guy on the deck...

    I think they're a good starter chipper. Simple to maintain and operate. With the right prep they're pretty dang quick. You definitely won't be waiting on the chipper. Best of all they're cheap to get into and can be resold with little to no loss. Downsides, they'll beat the snot out of you...

    They feel fine, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them for cracks or bending. It's a dingo 425 so with me and a bmg maybe 2500lbs. I may be wrong but it seems like tracked machines spread the load a little better than something on wheels

    Mine fold too. I'd have a hard time with anything that didn't. My chip box is really small. 9x8 but the actual floor is only 7x8 with the cut out for the tool box. Tight squeeze with the bmg.

    Dually no problem. Wouldn't be great on a single wheel. My old f350 has an arbortech box with the I-pack toolbox.
